We are seeking a Scheduler to assist in creating, maintaining, and updating caregiver/client schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Enter and maintain information in the scheduling and EMR software, including new client information and employee availability.
  • Receive information from Care Coordinators regarding new and changed client needs, and establish client permanent schedules.
  • Supervise spot filling of one-time or short-term appointments.
  • Work with Care Coordinators, Operations Coordinator, and other scheduling staff to improve existing scheduling consistency and efficiency.
  • Communicate scheduling changes to appropriate parties, including clients and caregivers.
  • Oversee Home Services Workers’ availability documentation and communicate changes in hours available for staffing needs.
  • Communicate staffing needs to Human Resources and Operations as needed.
  • Schedule in-home orientation and in-office follow up orientation for new hires.
  • Provide input for caregiver attendance for annual evaluations.
  • Enter changes of status (hiring, termination, leave of absence) into scheduling and EMR software per established practice.
  • Attend and participate in appropriate internal staff development programs.
  • Consistently maintain focus on CareLink and Christian Horizons mission and maintain highest level of confidentiality regarding company and client information.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be a high school graduate or have GED; Associate degree is preferred.
  • Three years in an office setting, including experience with software systems, scheduling, and coordination duties. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow and give written and oral directions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal effectively and tactfully with personnel, clients, families, government agencies and the general public.
  • Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Pass background check before and during employment, as defined by the organization’s policy, with no disqualifications by committing or attempting to commit one or more of the offenses defined within.
