We are seeking an Admissions Assistant. The Admissions Assistant works in an internal support role capacity to provide initial contact and ongoing assistance to all potential Residents and their families to assure a smooth transition into the community.

Responsibilities
  • Meet, greet, tour and answer all questions for prospective Residents and their family members.
  • Administer the admissions process, ensuring completion of the corporate admission packet, working cooperatively with the Community Nurse Liaison, Nursing Department and all other staff.
  • Provide communication of potential admissions to all departments, ensuring they receive the necessary information and paperwork to make a timely admission.
  • Submit weekly census report and other reports as may be required.
  • Ensure quality customer service to the Residents, families, staff and all external customers the department serves.
  • Maintain a sensitivity and awareness of the faith-based care provided, keeping constituent and donor opinion mind when making decisions.
  • Function as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care to all Residents.
  • Foster self-respect and a feeling of worth in each Resident by consistent kindness, understanding and patience in their care.
  • Organize and maintain all records necessary.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all protected health information exposed to whether electronic, written or oral either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Previous marketing or sales experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Display leadership qualities, good communication skills and a desire to continuously learn
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional time management / organization skills
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with staff, Residents, families, visitors, government agencies and the general public
