We are seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing. The primary objective for this position is to sell contracted pharmacy services to senior living communities in Illinois and Indiana.  Excellent customer service skills to maintain current pharmacy customers in senior living.

  • Develop and implement the quarterly sales and marketing plan.
  • Create and update competitive analysis
  • Work closely to identify prospective customers and work with owners, administrators, DONs to close sales for new pharmacy contracts.
  • Extensive follow up skills required to gain new customers as this is a long sales process.
  • Consistently develop and execute sales strategies around gaining new pharmacy customers.
  • Work with operations team on marketing plan and responsible for implementation for all sales and marketing activities.
  • Attend and follow up with industry trade shows.
  • Responsible for all advertising and marketing implementation with input from Pharmacy Manager and/or VP of Sales.
  • Input all sales activity into CRM.
  • Ensure quality customer service to community’s external customers the Pharmacy serves.
  • Work with pharmacy team to follow up with existing customers.
  • Demonstrate consistent management of resources.
  • Operate department within the established budget guidelines.
  • Attend and participate in continuing education programs designed to keep abreast of changes in the profession.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all protected health information whether electronic, written, or oral exposed to either during the course of assigned duties or as a result of an incidental disclosure.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous marketing or sales experience highly preferred.
  • Sales professional with proven track record of success
  • Strategic prospecting skills to gain new customers
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Display leadership qualities, and a desire to continuously learn.
  • Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.

  • Ability to travel up to 75% within two state area (Illinois and Indiana)
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with owner, Administrator’s, and DONs.
